History

Know More KMC Medical Centre

Located at the Chung Thye Phin Villa, it was the first missionary hospital in Ipoh and has been opened to the public since September 1963. The late Mr. Foo Yet Kai bought the property from the family of the late Kapitan in 1962 and donated it to set up “Our Lady’s Hospital”, renowned for their maternity services.

Kinta Medical Centre was formed in 1983 when the ownership was transferred back to the Foo Yet Kai Foundation by the former administration of the Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood.

In 2016, the management of Kinta Medical Centre was transferred to Yetkai Hospital Sdn. Bhd.

“KMC Medical Centre” is now our registered name under the Ministry of Health Malaysia.

Today, KMC Medical Centre offers a wide range of outpatient, inpatient and daycare services, well facilitated & greatly supported by dedicated specialists, nurses and our passionate administrative staff.

KMC is the strategic partner of Majlis Sukan Negeri (MSN) Perak. We have set up a Sports Clinic at KMC Medical Centre which provides holistic medical support – consultation, screening, medical care – where necessary, to the staff, members & athletes of MSN Perak.

Supporting & complementing our In- and Out-Patient Orthopaedic services is a full-time Physiotherapy centre.
Run by Reviva Physio Rehab, the application for our centre was submitted to CKAPS earlier in 2023 and is pending the finalisation of details prior to the official opening.
